At Dwelling Point Church, we believe that how you build determines how strong you stand. That’s why we’re launching with a strategy that prioritizes leadership development, team alignment, and spiritual readiness—before we ever open our doors to the public.

As we prepare to launch campuses in both Austin and San Marcos, we are beginning with what we call Team Sundays—an internal, weekly gathering designed to develop and unify our leaders before public services begin.

What Are Team Sundays?

Team Sundays are weekly Sunday morning services at 10:45 AM, but they’re not open to the public. These gatherings are exclusively for members of our Core Team and Dream Team—the people who are helping us build the future of Dwelling Point.

Rather than holding separate Team Sundays in each city, Austin and San Marcos will share the same Team Sunday service for now. This combined service allows both campuses to grow in the same culture, receive the same training, and worship together as one family—until both are ready to launch individually.

Core Team vs. Dream Team: Who’s on Each?

Both teams are crucial to our strategy, but they serve different functions:

  • Core Team: These are our future department leaders and decision-makers. They commit to 12 weeks of training that equips them spiritually, structurally, and culturally to carry the mission of Dwelling Point Church.

  • Dream Team: These are our volunteers who serve in Sunday operations—kids, hospitality, worship, tech, and more. After completing a 4-week Growth Track, Dream Team members help execute the weekly experience and embody the heart of the church in every interaction.

Everyone on either team is required to attend Team Sundays until we officially launch to the public.

When Will We Launch Public Services?

Each campus—Austin and San Marcos—will launch separately. The first campus to meet the following two benchmarks will launch first, while the other continues to build and attend Team Sundays:

  1. 50 committed individuals or families involved on the Core or Dream Team

  2. At least $50,000 in financial sustainability to support weekly public services with excellence

Once a campus meets these requirements, it will begin hosting weekly public services. The other campus will continue participating in Team Sundays and supporting the launched location until it too is ready to launch in its own city.

What Happens In the Meantime?

While we build both campuses, we’re still reaching the community. Every month, both Austin and San Marcos will host:

  • One evening worship service, open to the public, to encounter God together

  • One vision night or team mixer, for those exploring how to get involved and join the mission

These monthly events in each city are designed to share the heart of Dwelling Point, grow our teams, and cast vision for the future.
